Bahamas, founded by Nancy McDonald in 2007,
is a program which believes every child should have the opportunity to
experience the joy of reading and develop a life-long love of books.
Books fire a child's imagination and expand their knowledge of the world. Good readers will be good students and have better job opportunities and a brighter future.
To this end, the Read Bahamas program donates high quality children's books to schools throughout the Bahamas.

To date, more than 30,000 books have been delivered

Lyford Cay International School held its 4th annual book drive and donated aver 1000 books to Read Bahamas. These books were sent to schools in Long Island and Nassau.
